Kentucky (Louisville), Jacquelyn Kim
Hey! I’m Jacquelyn, the region director for Kentucky. I’m passionate about cultural exploration, language learning, and youth leadership! I am half Chinese and half Korean, and I speak four languages: English, Mandarin, French, and Korean. In my community, I serve on the Steering Committee for Louisville Girls Leadership, an organization that fosters leadership skills in and empowers young females. I became interested in YALA because I believe that sparking discussion of issues related to Asian-Americans is imperative for the facilitation of an overarching appreciation for cultural diversity. This appreciation is especially pertinent in light of today’s political climate and increasingly globalized society. Through YALA, I look forward to becoming a more informed global citizen with you!
